Roll Label

Roll Labels; are labels wrapped in a coil-shaped reel made of adhesive and non-adhesive label papers. Roll Labels consist of a variety of label types, including Plastic-based and Paper-based labels.

What is a Roll Label?

Paper-based labels are types of labels that are generally more affordable compared to plastic-based labels, which are easily torn and affected by environmental conditions such as moisture, water, and air. Glossy label, thermal label, vellum label, and self-adhesive labels are examples of roll paper labels that we produce. Non-adhesive labels made of thermal cardboard and coated cardboard are also produced as roll labels.

Plastic-based roll labels are generally resistant to tearing, water, and moisture. Examples of adhesive plastic-based roll labels include PP opaque, PE opaque, transparent, silvermat, PP metallized, and PP tire labels. Poliart Label is the only non-adhesive roll label variety we produce among Plastic-based labels.

Advantages of Roll Labels

Removing roll labels from their carrier is much easier compared to sheet labels, saving you time.

You can store thousands of labels in a single roll, preventing the labels from scattering and making it easier to keep them organized.

Roll labels generally have stronger adhesion compared to sheet labels. By using roll labels, you can ensure that the label remains on the surface for a longer period.

You may not be able to source every label type in sheet form on the market, but you can obtain all the label varieties you need in the form of rolls.

While it can be challenging to produce labels in custom sizes with sheet labels, roll labels can be produced in almost any size.

Companies that engage in production related to automation often use automatic labeling machines in their facilities. These machines require labels to be produced in roll form in order to apply them to products effectively.

Our Production

Lastly, let’s talk about the production methods of roll labels.

Digital Printing Method: In this printing method, direct printing is done without the use of mold or cliché film. This method allows for more cost-effective production by eliminating the cost of molds or clichés, especially for low-volume jobs. This method is generally used for print runs of around 500 to 10,000. In our facility, we have an HP INDIGO WS 6600 to meet the low-volume needs of our customers.

For the production of labels with moderate quantities, machines that use the Letterpress technique with UV printing are used. This printing method is typically used for labels produced in quantities ranging from 10,000 to 200,000 to achieve cost advantages. In our company, we have two GALLUS R 200 machines, one capable of 4+1 color printing and the other capable of 7+1 color printing, to meet the needs of our customers.

For high-volume jobs, we generally prefer the Flexo printing method. These machines provide fast printing, resulting in time and cost savings in production. This method is almost necessary to make our customers’ high-volume labels more affordable. In our company, we have an Italian brand LOMBARDI SYNCHROLINE 430, which we introduced in 2019, to meet the high-volume jobs of our customers.

Finally, in our facility, we have 2 ZONTEN machines and 1 ARSOMA machine for the production of blank labels.
